Chappy in Laos

After a long bus ride from Phonsovan, i waste no time in getting to Mekong for a sunset beer and feed.

The biggest festival of the year has just begun at the big golden pointy thing(That Luang). I cycle out for a looksee, and end up getting well and truly half cut with some local jokers.



Good fun, also shared a deep fried grub/ grasshopper dish. Delicious. Really.

Next morning shake off hangover with a 52 k return ride to Buddha park, built in the 50s by some crazy guy. Interesting....

Head to the festival that eve and spend about 1 1/2 hours trying to find where i parked my bike. Grrrr...
Its a massive festival, people turning up from all around the country. But i have my fill and decide to move on down south as time is ticking.
